I bought this mainly to use for uni - word, internet etc.
The first one I received had a bend in the side door which meant I had to pull the top loop up to get access to the interior.
I then powered it up - worked great!
Went to install office and that said I needed to have a higher OS version (10.5.0?) easily upgraded, connect to internet, apple logo and software update. Except, when installing the update, it would come up with an error message.
Contacted the sellers who were somewhat slow to get back to me and they sent me out a replacement, including a hard drive.
The had left the hard drive plugged in while in transit and as such, the sata connections were mangled and the hard drive was completely unusable - plugged in old hard drive, same issue. (I had tried 3 other types of HDD with no luck). Apple had sent me a OS disk for 10.5 but the DVD drive would keep ejecting it as soon as I closed the drive.
I had to return both desktops at my expense.
Overall, not a great experience. I own a MBP and have had the 2006 Macbook so I'm fairly confident with using macs.
Avoid this desktop as Apple will not offer any support whatsoever. They gave me the OS disk purely because I was sent to the Apple store twice by their call centre and I guess they felt sorry for me that I had been wrongly advised twice.
