I ordered this to save myself a fiver off the Apple price. It came all the way from China and proved to be a copy. I complained that the description of this adapter on the Amazon web page was misleading. Instead of "Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter - iPad / iPhone / iPod charging /data...". It should have read " Lightning to 30-pin Adapter for Apple iPad / iPhone / iPod charging /data...". And that I would not have ordered it had I known it was not a genuine Apple adapter. But to be fair, their reply said they had removed that listing and offered a fiver refund if I decided to keep it, or return it to their Birmingham office for a full refund and reimbursement of the cost of postage. I returned it as per their instructions and have now received the full refund plus the return postage. A satisfactory conclusion.
