Only had this a few weeks and the front green covering is peeling off. I got a grey smart cover with the iPad2 and it is much better quality, the box is also slightly different which makes me wonder if this really is a genuine Apple product?

Amazon Verified Purchase
This covers the screen and protects it. However, when you try to use it as a prop to support the Pad it fails, the Pad keeps falling over and the cover falls off. The magnets aren't strong enough. Good as a screen protector but hopeless as a support so not worth the money and doesn't do most of what it says it should.

For those wishing to buy an official Apple smart cover just to clarify this product is branded as being "Apple" and "By Apple" in both the product name and description - it is no way in any shape produced by Apple but simply is a remake of their design.
The quality of the smart cover is general good - but is no where need the quality of the "real deal". It's good enough to the job, but does have rough cuttings, but folds well as shown.
I have returned this product once, to which the merchant replaced me with a new one due to a fault with the magnetic strip, as the magnets didn't function properly. I have now received my second smart-cover to which the magnetic strip is bent in a oval shape.
Generally a cheap remake of the model - but as I say it's not by "Apple" as claimed, but if you're fine with over-looking some issues such as quality then it's worth saving £20.
