Looks good & functions correctly, BUT is bad quality as the edges are fraying after 2 days....this will not last 6 months, therefore it is inferior quality.

As advertised I was expecting an official, polyurethene, Apple smart cover which would attach itself magnetically to the Ipad 2's body and protect the screen only, leaving the ipad's beautiful back exposed.
What I received was clearly NOT and Apple product - merely a very cheap slip case which covers the back and front (no clever magnetic connection) has visible stitching and is finished in the same very tacky velour-type material seen on eighties women's tracksuits. Yes it has the magnetic front, but overall this product is a pale imitation of the real thing and not worth 5 quid, let alone the near 20 I was charged.
I've no beef if they want to sell this product, but to sell it as one thing (Official Apple loveliness) when it's in fact a bit of aftermarket tack is not playing fair...I'm on to Amazon now for a moan-up.

Does ok when combined with a gel back cover for basic protection of your iPad but the magnet isn't strong enough to reliably be used as a prop as advertised. Ie, if you use it to stand your iPad up and then read a book, you have to be really gentle when you touch the screen to turn pages or the thing falls off. Don't bother....

We consider this an excellent buy, as it protects the i-pad effectively with the minimum of weight snd the turn on, turn off function is useful.

Nice idea, badly executed

Awful
DON'T waste your money on this item. The cover doesn't support the iPad at all, so it doesn't work as a stand. The edges are also frayed.

Not the real thing
Brought this only to find out it has no magnetic strip that allows the iPad to turn on and off but is ok for what your paying

Poor quality
The cover has started to fray and pucker, not great as this was a present and it now looks cheap :(

This cover is a perfect fit for Ipad 3 also. It just clips on magnetically. It only covers the front though so my son still uses a case to carry the Ipad around in. Read more
