The Apple iPod shuffle (3rd Generation) comes with a very VERY short cable. I wanted a longer one, to be able to charge - or sync - the iPod without having to have it dangle off the computer. Apple sells one, for $19.00, from their website. Apple will give you two cables, one 45 mm. long, another 1000 mm. long. Not bad. But I thought I'd save some money and buy THIS one. Well, it came with only ONE cable, apparently neither 45 mm. or 1000 mm. long, but about 180 mm. (still quite a bit short) and to boot, it is NOT as pictured -- the part that gets inserted into the iPod is overly wide, and you can't see the charging light on the iPod itself!
Now, the Amazon description implies that what I bought and paid for was the same item as the one shown on the Apple website. Wrong. I am disappointed, and will return it and if I still want the longer cables, I will get myself to an Apple store or order from Apple directly. What I got is clearly NOT an Apple product, although the description would make one think it's identical.
DON'T bother with this. I am a long and loyal customer at Amazon, who give good customer service, but I will be very wary of third party vendors. I went to the website for MyGear.com and couldn't even find this gizmo there.
