I'm giving it three stars instead of two, because i haven't put a ton of time into it, but so far I have not been happy with the way it works. It's advertised as being "the next step up" from Garageband, but to me, Garageband (GB) is a MUCH easier program to work with. I was able to figure everything out in GB without a manual (with the exception of one or two things). Logic is totally NOT like that. It's not intuitive. The descriptions don't suggest what they are. There are buttons on the GUI that do not even APPEAR in the manual OR in the Apple Certified guidebook!!!??? So what do those buttons do? I still don't know. In the audio editing screen, the magnification is very glitchy. The waveforms aren't drawn with sufficient resolution. I'm not too happy with this. When i get a newer computer for music making i would like to obtain Propellerhead's Reason which seems to have the intuitive GUI along with the features i was looking for (advanced time-stretching, automation for effects)

Disclaimer: the only reason i got this older piece of software was to use with an older Mac (a 2004 eMac). This version is only for old G4 macs. It is the correct version for my machine, but that doesn't make it suck any less.
