First suprise was that this is a third party charger not an official apple one, but it seems to work just as well as the offical one. Its not exactly the same size, and so is slightly ill fitting on my original extension lead but it works well and is safe. Hopefully itll last too!

Well of course it works fine but it really annoys me that I've had to buy an entire replacement unit after three years just because the flex is so weak. Countless other users have complained about this to Apple. It's shameful that an otherwise perfectly serviceable piece of equipment is going to landfill due to a poorly designed cable. What's more, the new one is exactly the same. So I expect I'll be doing this all over again in 2011.

Worst quality, just three months life,

I bought this item on 17 October 2010, which was my third power adapter. I thought maybe I can use this one for a long time, at least one year is OK, but I was so disappointed that it only had three months usage. Waste of money.
