It seem like years since I first heard these guys playing to a packed-out room full of sweaty students in Leeds and they've lost none of the raw energy and emotion they showed then. What has been added is the more polished kind of sound that comes from playing huge events like Leeds Festival and supporting bands like The Sunshine Underground, The Cribs, and the Kaiser Chiefs on UK tours. My only complaint is that by restricting the album to ten songs some stand-out parts of their back catalogue are missing. Sure, most of those songs are on YouTube, their website and previous EPs but until they release a bonus-edition album I can't give them 5 stars.
A really unique, polished sound. Well worth a try if you're searching for something a bit different.
