Format:Audio CD
It's been 9 long years between the release of "Almost Heathen" and Karma to Burn's latest offering and this near decade has changed their overall sound not one iota. Never a band to conform to passing trends, Karma to Burn continue where they left off with their line of killer riffs and stomping groove. There's even some sorely missed cowbell-action on "Forty Two".
Two tracks feature vocals on this album, courtesy of Daniel Davies and John Garcia, which is something the band haven't dallied with since the release of their debut album. "Waiting on the Western World" is one of the strongest tracks here, Davies' vocals complementing the song perfectly.
Overall this is a great return for the US trio, perhaps not reaching up to the peaks of their earlier works, but that would be some ask. It might just be me, but the production could have made the sound heavier, it sounds a little muted, but it's nothing that the volume control on your stereo can't cure!

As previous reviewer, I was waitin for this for a long time was a KTB fan since dubut. The KTB lads gave into our lust last year with the live dvd (5 star effort by the way) & know give a good ol'fashoned 2 finger salute to mainstream music.I am so glad they stayed mostly with the instrumental 3 piece but the track on the e.p with John Garcia (KYUSS) is a masterpiece & the re-recorded version of "20" makes you nurse a semi!. I was so looking forward to seeing them live in Dublin but stupid volcanic ash forced them to cancel as they were stuck in U.K. (lads probably stayed looking for the "volcanic hash!!) but all in all a savage cd.

A biased review because I believe this band can do no wrong when they have no vocals.
To qualify my review I did not get the deluxe version, rather just the 9 song CD (so far).
This CD ranks up there with Almost Heathen. Sorry but nothing compares to the greatness Wild West Purgatory.
People who need vocals tend to call KTB boring. I can understand but don't agree.
I find on ApCan that just when a riff is getting repetitious or "boring", KTB changes it up
one way or another to keep the song progressing. At the same time the 2 songs with vocals are excellent.
"Waiting On The Western World" is my new theme song in the soundtrack of my life, but I digress.
Maybe I'll change my mind about the no wrong without vocals part.
We waited 10 years for this. If I have to wait another 10 years for the next one, no problem.

Solid release from a great band. Do yourself a favor and see these guys live. One of the best live shows I have seen. You can't help but bang your head.

Expected A LOT more from these guys seeing as this cd is about 10 years in the making. Their last 2 albus were great but this falls short. Most sound the same with most songs being played in the 5th and 7th position. If they made one cds worth of music it probably would have been better.
