I LOVE PATRICK MOORE! No, no, not like THAT, but you know what I mean. He's a great authority on astronomy and, as someone who just remembers the Moon landings of the Apollo programme, I have a life-long fascination with the subject. Sir Patrick tells the story concisely in this short video (c.45 minutes) and there is much more to know, but at this price you can't go wrong for a brief introduction.
Good use of archive film and Sir Patrick's expert knowledge make this a cracking little DVD. My only criticism would be of the slightly annoying "pop" style of some of the background music. However, this is not enough to prevent a five star rating from me!

Always been interested in the Apollo stuff, but can't remember much about it now. This DVD shows the good bits from all those years ago, the different stages of the programme, the difficulties and solutions....great viewing.
Well, it's cheap. That's the best thing I can say about it. And it is presented by Sir Patrick Moore, whom I have a long appreciation for. However... 45 minutes? How can you begin to do the subject justice in 45 minutes. Production dominated by what I consider to be distracting and inappropriate background music. Disappointing.

Unfortunately Patrick talking at length getts a tad irritating but overall the footage is good and worth watching, prehaps with the sound low!
