I have over the years had many coffee makers this one for some reason is the best.

If like myself you want to make coffee by the large mug full then this is for you, this one will make two large mug fulls ......it will of course need the appropriate ammount of coffee to do this.............

The cost of this machine is very acceptable indeed

Unlike very expensive machines that have been great disappointments in my past experiece ,and have finished in the bin....this one definately seems to get all the flavour out of the coffee and into your cup...........

Two things have to be learned though, use minimum heat so that it does not boil over and make your coffee be thrown all over the hob top.....

This is really not a problem just common sense.....use it first just with water to get the hang of it..

The other important thing is to make sure that the water seal between the two halves is properly seated and is clear of coffee grounds......before you put it on the heat make sure is is tightly screwed together.

A lot of words here which might nake it look as being complicated and not worth the bother.................

I do assure you though that for the price the version which is availeable in several sizes, this being the largest does make the best coffee I have had for years.

One added thought finally.......there are three at least, smaller sizes while being identical are much the same price..this is the largest but obviously will
make if needed one very small cup full ......just a thought...

William

it is true that there are better quality ones with thick metal, this one is pretty light weight but for the price i think is brilliant. One tip though if you have any left over coffee keep it in a glass jar in the fridge, i had a smaller one before so i never had left over before and it just goes off rather quickly.

Was after a large version for a while and can't argue with this price. Easily makes three mug gulls of coffee. Sometimes the filter sticks but can't really argue for overall value for money.

I got this coffee maker a month or two ago, and it works perfectly well. I use it almost every day, and although it's a bit of a nuisance to wash after use (like any espresso maker like this one with so many components), the coffee it makes comes out great.

It dribbles a little from the top when the coffee first comes through, but it doesn't take a lot to wipe the small amount of liquid off the hob. It's well made, although the funnel part is a little flimsy.

It's a good size, and can probably make two generous mugs of strong regular coffee, or enough espresso coffee for loads of people, although I have only used it for myself so far, which works fine as well for smaller quantities as well.

Overall, I think it's a very good coffee maker. It works great, the coffee comes out great. The product is very reasonably priced on Amazon as well. If given the right care, I don't see why this coffee maker shouldn't provide many years of use (and many gallons of coffee)!

have used similar type before, however, this one did not fit together at all well, and as a result the coffee, steam and water spurted out from the bottom part, try as we may couldn't get the thing to screw tightly. Deliver and packaging was great pity product wasn't.

A great product that is very easy to use. If kept clean and thoroughly rinsed after each use will last for years.

We can get two average size mugs each out of it. Its simple to use and very easy to clean. If you have a gas hob be aware not to have the flames near the handle as it looks like it could easily melt. Bought as a gift with other products.

It's a bit bigger than my medium size pot, and about twice the capacity and a lot bigger than my smallest, which is either a two or three cup model...

In real life, I can get two decent mugs and an almost full mug refill for each out of one brewing.

SO the 12 cup designation means a breakfast cuppa for two people. I have few opinions about anything, but one is that whoever the marketing genius was who came up with this fairyland cup size for coffee making equipment descriptions should be hung upside down by the gronulads over a slow fire which would need twelve mugs of water to extinguish while he watches someone attempt to douse it with twelve demi-semi-tasse "cups." Let's see if he gets as infuriated as the rest of us.

If you're new to the game and buy, say, a six cup device expecting it to make coffee for six normal people, you'll be sadly disappointed.
You might mañage six sluggish elves with no thirst but a need for tiny cups of stimulant. Perhaps marketing folk have these round for dinner in lieu of all the friends they've alienated with constant deceit?

(/rant)

Comment about marketing hyperbole aside, this is a cheap'n'cheerful mocha pot range which look rather nice and make splendid coffee. The finish isn't exactly like a German camera and inside the boiler, its downright rough but that is completely inconsequential.

None of mine leak, but they DO dribble, so I pour them over the drainer. No problem.

A rub up with a Brillo pad keeps them shiny enough.
