This was rather disappointing. A bit like one of those Discovery channel documentaries ... utilising stock footage with a rather plodding and portentous commentary (Tom Baker's talents completely wasted). There were no interviews with any of those involved (apart from a public talk by Michael Collins filmed in 1989 - the only `extra' supplied), no inside story, no interesting factoids ...

Also, the actual Apollo 11 story, as opposed to the historical build up, is compressed the last 20 minutes of an 80 minute film.

I'm still a sucker for this moon shot stuff ... the achievement looks even greater given the dearth of manned exploration for the following 30 years, but this film does not do it justice.

Where can I start? on the positives - you see the same apollo footage seen elsewhere.

Negatives - picture and sound appaling, presentation of DVD and feature is awful. Content is very limited.

Overall don't waste your money on this terrible DVD.

This is a very disappointing dvd. The quality of the video clips is poor (the narrator's excuse is that the film was of the wrong speed!). Most of the documentary has nothing to do with Apollo 11, with the highlights drowned with loud music. Very unsatisfied with the product that I have returned it!
