5.0 out of 5 stars Thought provoking and laugh out loud funny., 12 April 2006
By R. A. Young (London) - See all my reviews

Its a cruel irony that the one with the talent sank back into the fringes when the one who relied largely on straighforward sarcasm hit the big time but Rob Newman puts Baddiel and Skinner and so very many of his contemporaries in the shade with his stand up. A decent writer too its his live stuff that really grabs the attention. Not only is it eye-openingly well researched but he manages to make it extremely funny as well as informative, provocative without being preachy and so densely packed with information as well as jokes that it stands up easily to repeat listening. His Euro/Dollar theory on the War in Iraq blew me away. A deeply underrated comedian. You're only cheating yourself should you fail to buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gets better with age!, 18 Feb 2006
I loved Rob Newman in the Mary Whitehouse Experience when I was just a school girl. The last time I had heard of him, until recently, was when I saw him perform while at university - he was still as amazing. His new material is political in nature, like his friend Mark Thomas, but still wonderfully Newman. Certainly a thinking man or woman's comedian, don't hesitate to put this one in your basket.
