This book was great. The other reviewers do not like it because its not Sleepers, this is like saying not liking Superman movie Because its not Godfather (both Mario Puzo) both equally awesome but for different reasons. This is well written, character and story driven, emotional in parts and although the end is a bit OTT I found it enjoyable! Worth reading

This book started off in a tedious manner. He starts by describing the background of every cop, and you start to forget the details, as there are so many. Unlikely story line I think, and quite outrageously unbelievable in parts, but moving none-the-less. Worth a read, but not a patch on Sleepers.

Third Rate Sleepers
A book that held a lot of promise but in the end failed to deliver. So full of cliches and corny moments. Not one of Carcaterra's best books.
