being in the roofing and solar industry i go through a couple of pairs of trousers per year bought 2 pairs of these 18 months ago and still using them today, low cut waist ideal as it doesnt give you the simon cowell look !!!! previously bought dickies and cat trousers at double the price and never lasted me 6 months . also bought the apache stretchy belt which is a god send as when u bend you not got the restrictions on your belly. just ordered 2 more pairs in grey/black dont really need them but hey my wife can buy 40 pairs of shoes i can have 4 pairs of work trousers

When the knees of my old work cargoes finally had it and I had to resort to gaffer tape to hold them together, out of respect for myself but mainly for my customers, that I decided I had to look for a decent pair of professional work trousers. I looked at 'Dickies and JCB's and other brands, but all just came in Regular length leg. As I am a bit of a short**** I didn't want to work in trousers with 4" turnups, the crotch around my knees and my knee pads around my shins, so you can imagine my surprise when I came across these Apache branded work trousers on Amazon that actually came in a short leg (29") and my waist size (32"). Take note these other brands.."We're not all big fat lard***** in the building game, some of us are still proportionally normal". I was half suspecting that the trousers may just be regulars or long leg trimmed down ( back to the crotch around the knees malarky ), but they aren't. they fit perfect everywhere, from waist (with aid of belt), crotch (just the right amount), the knees are where your knees should be (this helps), and the backside has the right amount of give (clever design of rear pockets...of which I,ll come to now). Pockets..How many do you want? I've counted 18 separate pockets (not including the two knee pad pockets), that will hold anything from your pencil, tape, mobile, nails and screws, small screwdrivers etc., wallet, plans, cuddly toy (No, I made that up). And the material that the trousers and pockets are lined with is really top quality thickness for the purpose they are designed for. You get what you pay for, but with these trousers you do get more for your money in regard of fit, quality, durability, utility and a professional look. I honestly cannot fault them and will buy a second pair.

As I'm nearly permanently in working gear as I'm rebuilding a big house I found that jeans were just wearing out too fast. So I bought these in the hope that they would prove to be a better option. And they certainly are.

Firstly they are made of Cordura - which is commonly used in fabric motorcycle jackets and trousers as a top layer to prevent abrasion injuries when skidding down the road. Okay the thickness isn't the same as more flexibility is required but my non scientific test of scrabbling around on my knees on rubble and concrete has shown up no wear and tears so far.

They are super comfortable. Seriously they are the exact fit that the sizes state and feel really well made.

The 'ears' pockets at the front. Well I initially didn't think that I would find them of any use but once I started wearing these trousers I found that the flappy pockets are possibly the most useful thing you could have. They perform in a similar way to the extra belt pouches you can get but are far more comfortable and useful. I can't imagine not having them to be honest now.

Overall a brilliant working trouser that will last well and look good. In fact I was so impressed I bought another pair within a week of having these so that I had one pair on and one pair washed.

I'm a fairly large guy, needed something that wouldn't suffocate the crotch with a 42" waist/31" leg, so thought I'd give these a try - for me they are cavernous! The legs are just way too baggy and I have to roll the legs up like firemans pants (even though the label says they are correct I'm sure mine are for a 33" leg).

The knee pockets, while useful, are a bit too big, so standard foam knee pads slide about and I find myself having to hutch the legs about before I kneel down.

The corduro fabric is quite tough and hard wearing, tho I've only had them for a couple of weeks - be warned, if you spend a lot of time on your knees you may find this fabric will rub your knees red raw! I'm having to wrap fabric around my knees or use some butchered leg warmers to counter it.

Anyway, too late to send them back I guess, I needed to start the job... just be aware these may be roomier than you think in the larger sizes.

    Hope this is helpful.

Excellent work trousers, my husband says very comfortable, pockets really useful, look and fit nice and really good value compared to other brands which look very similar. Get the size of trouser you normally wear, we measured 34" waist but he normally wears 32" and the 32" fit perfect.

Bought these for my son for his birthday on the 7th may. They are already torn at the seam where the knee pads go. I must admit he always gets this make and they are usually great so this is unusual. I haven't contacted amazon yet as he only told me yesterday.
