After looking at a lot of forums on which disks are the best for backing up my xbox 360 games,i came across a general trend.Die hard gamers who backup original games to protect their investment, purchase the more known and expensive VERBATIM DL disks. The reasons being are less coasters/fails per pack and less strain on the laser within the 360 to read and play the backup.I did however see a few people using the AONE brand with good results all round.I took it upon myself to give these DL brand a fair hearing. As with different setups/dvd burners you get different results.I find to be safe GOOGLE "can my dvd burner(whichever you have)play/burn these brand of disks?".I have an external LITEON dvd burner, via usb on a windows 7 laptop. The software i use is imgBurn to burn my image files. The only changes i do within the software are reducing the burning speed to 2.4 and setting up the layer break to match the iso dvd file. Not one of these disks have failed once out of the 17 used so far.So the "bang per buck" issue is well in its favour. My view although impartial can only be judged on my use, which is for backing up with a image file.I have not used these disks for any other data/movie purposes,so on that basis i have to sit on the fence. On a personal level i will be purchasing more of these disks.Another point to make would be that these disks dont have a printable area, but you can buy the printable versions and that the id for the disks comes up as a Ricoh product. So i do suggest you find out if your burner supports these!!
