Product Description

Synopsis
This title enables you to find out the tricks you need to deal with any type of situation your family will throw at you. You'll emerge happy, healthy and with your sanity intact! Here, learn top tips such as: bribery works wonders for siblings; let them borrow that computer game/CD/bike, if you want to stop them blabbing your embarrassing secrets; prepare for potential problems; warn parents if your boyfriend is 'quite artistic' (i.e.: has long hair, ten earrings and a tattoo). Also learn the secret of really good answers. Answers such as 'homework' and 'I want to be an accountant', while not exactly true, work much better than 'nothing' or 'dunno'. Remember that a happy parent is a kind and generous parent, a parent who likes to say 'yes'!

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny and informative: appreciated by teenagers, 26 Sep 2008
By James Murray - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I am a clinical psychologist and work with teenagers and their families. I enjoyed this book myself, and the reviews I have had from teenagers I have lent it to are also very positive.

It is written in a light-hearted and engaging way, and provides useful information and plenty of examples on a variety of topics. It is also very much written from the viewpoint of a teenager, and the book acts as their ally - many other "self-help books" are really aimed at parents rather than teenagers.
