I've put off buying any of the Blu-ray releases as I am accustomed to watching the Director's editions and slightly extended editions that I have on Dvd. To go back to watching the theatrical versions would just annoy me, especially if I paid the Blu-ray prices.

The day will definitely come when they do release the extended versions, and I know the Motion Picture will be a pretty major job due to the special effects work needed for HD, but the fans want it, and they know that they'll buy them all over again, so it's inevitable that we will eventually get them. I'd guess probably around the time we get the 3rd yet-to-come Star Trek reboot movie on Blu-ray.

Anyone else heard anything or have any ideas?
