5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent time-travel sci-fi mixed with classic love plot, 4 Sep 2002
After a slightly slow start, somewhat reminiscent of old sci-fi paperbacks mainly by America authors, this book really picks up and draws the reader into an interesting triangle of love, time-travel and law authority investigation.

Whilst many of the time-travel paradoxes have been explored before, this work brings several of them together well - but without making them the focus of the story. Good reading but not too 'hard-core' sci-fi, in my opinion.

Overall the plot is fairly predictable, but new information is introduced throughout the story and I certainly didn't anticipate the ending. About halfway through the book I had difficulty putting it down! (Perhaps surprising considering this is the first book by Chris Butler)

I would definitely read another book by Chris Butler and look forward to his next.
