He's been around, has our Fergie. From replacing Tommy Shaw in Shaws pre Styx band, to almost being the new singer in Angel, to rounding out Survivor vocals, to hits with Le Roux and Toto, he really is a class act. He retired from music for a decade before returning in 1999, and he worked steadily from then until 2010 when he was given a diagnosis of inoperable liver cancer.

He threw everything into what was meant to be a farewell album, "Happiness Is The Road", which was well received, and three years on, he's managed to release another album. According to his son, he has taken a turn for the worse, and you can contribute to his medical care here - [...]

This is the musical work of well respected Italian producer, Alessandro Del Vecchio, who has brought in the likes of Bruce Gaitsch (Richard Marx) and Robert Sall (Work of Art, W.E.T.) on guitars among others. Mr Frederiksen has been in a good vocal shift, and the album is a real treat. We'll skip over the duet with the overrated Issa on 'Not Alone' and, instead, concentrate on songs like 'Price For Loving You', 'When The Battle Is Over' and a stunning new take on the Toto number, 'Angel Don't Cry', originally on their "Isolation" album.

It's an excellent release from a great vocalist, and well worthy of your attention.

Legendary singer of Toto, Angel and Le Roux, FERGIE FREDERIKSEN releases his new album "Any Given Moment" via Frontiers Records. One of the most ' respected ' voices in the melodic rock world, he returns to the scene to give us another strong and extremely melodic record.

The 2010 was a truly tragic moment in the artist's life as diagnosed by doctors that he had cancer of the liver but, also, at the same year he released the excellent "Happiness Is The Road". This time, Fergie collaborated with Italian producer Alessandro Del Vecchio and with the help of his songwriting, along with contributions from such musicians as Bruce Gaitsch (Richard Marx) and Robert Sall (Work of Art, W.E.T.) on guitars among others, he put his mark on another true Melodic Rock gem of an album!

Some special surprises are also, included such as the duet with Issa on "Not Alone" and a brand new version of Toto's classic song "Angel Don't Cry" originally included on the "Isolation" album.

As I said above, the disk is characterized by beautiful melodies, Fergie's emotional vocal performances, very good and well-crafted songs and an old-fashioned 80's vibe all over the album. Highlights of the album are the amazing up-tempo AOR anthem of "Times Will Change", the stunning ballad "I'll Be The One", "How Many Roads", "Let Go" and my personal favorite "When The Battle Is Over" which resembles of Survivor's earlier works.

A really very interesting AOR stuff that should not go unnoticed by any fan of classic melodic rock/ AOR sound!!!! Highly recommended!!!! (written for Heavy Paradise)

Great melodic rock CD 9 Sept. 2013

What a beautiful CD! Great songs and great singer. Fergie Frederiksen is one of the best rock singers of all times.
Superb melodic rock album. 21 Jan. 2015

This is simply a superb album of melodic rock. I really enjoyed the predecessor to this album, "Happiness is the Road" by Fergie Frederiksen, and this album is in many respects just as well done as that one. I found the album to be solid overall, with sterling musicianship, soaring but not overpowering vocals, and an uplifting atmosphere both musically and lyrically. I took a chance on buying this album as well as "Happiness is the Road" because I did not really enjoy another solo album by Fergie Frederiksen, "Equilibirum," so I was not sure what to expect. But these last two solo albums, "Any Given Moment" and "Happiness is the Road," are just far and away better than "Equilibrium" in virtually every way.
