Lee Mead's version of Any Dream Will Do is superb - he was a very well deserved winner of the show and I am sure he will make an excellent Joseph. The other track on this single - Close Every Door - which he sings along with Lewis and Keith is also excellent and Lee's voice stands out above the other two - although they both have potential star quality in their own fields.
Lee's voice is both clear and melodic and I think he will become a very well known and popular vocalist who will be with us for many years to come.

Throughout the show, I had been rooting for Lee to win - and he doesn't disappoint with his first single. His performance of "Any Dream Will Do" is flawless; it has the right amount of dreaminess for it to be convincing and his voice suits the song very well. However, the ensemble performance of "Close Every Door" is for me the highlight of the single (well, there are only two songs after all!). He succeeds in creating the brooding, enigmatic and desperate emotion behind the song and the ending is truly breathtaking. Although Lee's voice stands out the most, I also enjoy hearing Keith Jack's and Lewis Bradley's voices.
Let's hope Mr Mead releases an album in the future, recording some of the biggest musical theatre hits of all time - "Why God Why" from Miss Saigon, "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" from Les Miserables, "Oh! What a Circus" from Evita and "This is the Moment" from Jekyll and Hyde spring to mind. So do your bit for comic relief and buy this single - you will not be disappointed!

Hey all... just got home from watching the first performance of Joseph... and what a night! It was phenomenal. Lee Mead is simply a marvel in the role as Joseph. He simply fits the part. Preeya, the Narrator is truly gorgeous and steals the stage when on. Dean Collinson plays the Pharaoh, and does a superb Elvis impression which had us all in fits. Through one of his numbers, he threw his neck scarf to my girlfriend - we were on the front row. I would describe the evening as electrical. We were all up on our feet come the end, dancing and clapping to what must have been an extending ending to the night. Afterwards, we all waited outside for Lee Mead to come and see us.. And he didn't disappoint. I've got some great footage on my phone of him and his autograph. We also bumped into Andrew Lloyd Webber who was a really great man, and also Bill Kenwright. He was also gracious to pose for a photo with me and gave a personal autograph too.... I implore people who like Joseph to go and see it if you can... it was worth every penny... GO GO GO JOSPEH
