At the turn of the century, and solely on the basis of "Any Day Now", I traced the remainder of the bands catalogue none where similar to 'Any Day Now', the band are currently remastering their albums, I hope they re-release this album.
None of the additional studio albums were similar to 'Any Day Now'. The path the band had chosen, they were stuck with, given the majority of Strangeways fans are presumably fans of 'AOR'.
'Any Day Now' a crossover fusion between many differing styles; progressive; americana; blues, to name but a few of the influences, both in composition and production. These guys are talented it is a shame the experiment did not pay off in terms of sales, however the music is very enjoyable.
That's a great loss to music, as the band did a great job with 'Any Day Now'.
