Product Description

200ml Antistatic Vinyl Record Cleaner Cleaning Fluid Spray with Microfibre Cloth This antistatic lint free cleaning cloth and fluid are suitable for cleaning all vinyl records. Cleaning fluid is supplied in a pump action Spray bottle. For best results make sure after cleaning, there is no residue from the record cleaning fluid left on the surface of the record. This can be done by using a super absorbent lint free cloth or the Velvet Cleaning Brush for Vinyl Records which we sell separately on Amazon. Ideally to ensure any residue is removed you should rinse the record after cleaning with Deionised water which has had all impurities removed (not tap water, spring water or any other type of water) and make sure the record is totally dry before playing. In addition you should always keep your stylus clean and free of dust. We also sell a separate stylus cleaning fluid and brush for this purpose. I left this feedback for the original order: "I'm very impressed with this product. I picked one of my 'problem' records - it skipped literally every four or five seconds for its whole length. One application, no skips, played perfectly. Genuinely could not believe it, and I'm very happy."

To be honest, this now feels like a masterpiece of understatement: I'm delighted with this stuff. I sit there is awe, listening to what used to be a pretty sorry looking vinyl I picked out of the bargain bin sounding crisp and clear. It works even better than I thought it would. Doesn't matter what I use it on - 1950s 10" albums, modern stuff that's had a hard life, it doesn't seem to matter.

Obviously, it can't fix surface damage, and maybe a large part is that I'm surprised how much of it that looks like surface damage actually turns out not to be, but... but yes, I've used it numerous times now, and it never ceases to amaze me.

I purchased this to replace my old WHSmith bottle of cleaning fluid from xx years ago. It is very good and does exactly what it says.

Do not use this product! I bought this off of amazon and used on some fairly new records that had built up static/dust. I used it because I thought it might be a quick/cheap and convenient solution to cleaning records. It left permanent damage to the records.
It can make older records look superficially better (bit like how some people use isopropyl alcohol to make records look clean but they always sound dirty!) and I guess if you have some real beat up/filthy records it might help remove some grime but the test is in what it actually does to new vinyl. It ruins it. The background noise becomes substantial. You would be better off just using distilled water. Alternatively, PVA glue of the correct consistency is the most effective means available, although takes a while to dry and needs a little practice to get right-it beats even a Keith Monks professional record cleaning machine. This is the method the BBC used to use in its cleaning of archival material.

I had a collection of old LPs that had been locked away for years, and were covered in grime. This has totally refreshed them, they now sound brand new (these records are over 40 years old!). It does the job it says it does - That's all I wanted it to do, and it did it with flying colours.

Noticed the bottle and cleaning cloth were both wet when I opened the sealed plastic packaging. Discovered why, as the cleaning cloth is folded tight and packed into the top of the fluid cleaner bottle top, the top then does not fit properly. Basically, any pressure applied to the top presses down onto the spray releasing the cleaning fluid when in transit or being handled by packagers. Recommend the manufacturer packs the cleaning cloth outside of the bottle. Other than that, very good product for cleaning vinyl records.
