Very pleased with this Antiference make of magic eye - have had before and far superior to other makes.

However.... Please take care when ordering - this is actually the model with an 'F' type screw connector on the end of the magic eye - not the normal co-axal connection. This means you cant use the normal lead from your TV arial you will have to buy a special co-axal to F type lead. This is not stated in the description. A special lead is about another £5 - so if you have a co-axal cable connection from your areial (which 99.9999999% at least of us do) this is NOT for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 25 Aug 2010

We wanted to have our Sky+ box in a cupboard without glass doors and this was the solution to having to leave the doors open when we were using it. It is discretely under the cupboard where it can't be seem, but can be used perfectly.

Product arrived quickly and as described. The sensor is tiny and can hardly be seen, very neat.

Having used the TVLink brank (with bulky IR and no fly lead) this is a marked improvement and works fine!

Biggest issue with other brands / types is where the 'brains' bit intercepts the 9v DV supply and signal.. if you have a TV on a stand, no real issue, but if wall mounted, then a fly lead is required meaning loss of signal / potential issues with cables etc..

This is also great as the IR sensor is tiny and sticks discreetly to the TV.

I'm ordering another to replace my home-made fly lead / wiring balancing act combo!

Does exactly what I wanted it too, ideal for flat screen tvs (wall mounted) lets you get the flatest wall brackets and looks very tidy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Received f screw connector and needed changing 1 Sep 2012

Emailed seller before hand due to previous review re connection and was advised it is an aerial connection. Ordered 3. Old magic eye goes into aerial socket and aerial goes into magic eye. Ones received fit into aerial socket but aerial won't go into magic eye as it is a screw in fitting. I emailed seller and they sent replacements.

Replacements came with correct aerial socket.

Magic eye is small and looks like just what I want for my flip down tv so 2nd time lucky!

Magic eye - small and sensitive.

Good item just make sure you get aerial and not f type connections.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faultless 14 Nov 2011
By Expat
While waiting for it to arrive I re-configured the Sky+ HD output to turn on the power (instructions from web, elapsed time about 1 minute). When it arrived I plugged it in and it worked perfectly. Sensitivity and speed are exactly the same as if pointing the controller at the Sky box itself. The unit itself is neat and tidy, and the cable lengths are ideal. Unlike some other reports, mine came with ordinary aerial plug/sockets, so no problem there either. I have to give it 5 stars because it is exactly what it should be.
