If Warp records was consistently the most innovative and fascinating record label of the 1990s, the Anticon is definitely the new Warp. All 33 tracks are prove that Rap/Hip Hop is most definitely not dead (although mainstream rap certainly smells funny)

What a CD!!! 3 Sep 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This is what it's all about. Some of the most fantastic hip-hop ever committed to plastic. Don't expect run-of-the-mill beats, or normal lyrics, because if you do you'll miss the point. However, approach with an open mind, appreciate the fantastic production and amazing lyrics, and be prepared to be blown away by the most innovative label in hip-hop. At least these guys haven't been a divine disappoinment...

Hip-hop at its finest 22 May 2009
Format:Audio CD
This album is a great introduction to anyone wanting to delve into the hip-hop genre. Moving far away from the cliched mainstream gangsta rap, this album is full of intelligent social critiques, that are well produced and sound great. Lots of melodic, heavy beats that are sometimes slow and engaging, but at other times energetic and banging. A brilliaint mix of tunes.

My only problem with this album is that it only offers samples. Odd Nosdam's track 'eat:chew' is amazing, but the sample is just over a minute long.

Nonetheless, if you're interested in hip-hop this a perfect place to start.
