Ultra comfort in the form of a butterfly-shaped pillow to help prevent 'flat-head' syndrome which can sometimes be suffered by babies in the first few weeks while the skull is still soft enough to be moulded. This means that the shape of the head can be altered by any pressure, usually at the back of the head, giving the baby's head a flattened look. This condition is often called deformational plagiocephaly and can be prevented by using a gentle head support.
The Butterfly Baby Head Support Pillow by anti-pressure pillows is unique as it can be used on either side and does not have a front and a back like other pillows. Therefore, the Butterfly Baby Head Support Pillow gently cradles baby's head in the centre of the pillow, which is slightly elevated on both sides, and still allows their head to move freely whilst being naturally supported in the centre of the pillow and not pressing directly on the occiput (the back of the head).

I noticed that my 3 month old baby was getting a flat spot on his head and bought a couple of other (much cheaper) pillows, none of which seemed to make any difference. This pillow is great - the baby stays put all night long, it appears to be comfortable, is soft and can be washed easily. Not sure whether it is solely due to the pillow, but my now 4 month old baby's head is looking much better and the flat spot is hardly noticeable! Will continue to use this pillow and chuck the other ones away....
UPDATE - My baby is now 5 and a half months old and after using the pillow for over 2 months, it has gone very flat. Washing/drying it doesn't help. Although it is a good product, it is quite expensive and won't last you a very long time!

Brilliant item. Receive quickly and baby is very comfortable without getting a 'hot head'. Definitely recommend this pillow against cheaper makes.

I bought this after wasting money on the theraline pillow- baby's head would not stay put. he is 3 months and doesnt roll but likes to nuzzle his head to get comfy when drifting off. found with theraline he would simply slide off pillow. This butterfly pillow is brilliant, no matter how much he nuzzles, his head still stays in the hollow. slept on it from 11pm till 8 am and was still in the same place. Have not given it full star rating simply because its not safe for rolling babies as not breathable like the theraline ( but pointless having a completely safe pillow when it doesnt serve its function of being a pillow, nevermind being a pillow for flat head!!!)
