I would suggest placing some card or a soft cloth on top of the mirrored platform while mounting or dismounting objects simply to protect the surface. Otherwise you will permanently mark the surface every time the puck or globe crashes down due to inaccurate placement (which will happen a lot!). Once stability has been achieved the cloth can be removed. This will also prevent the mirrored surface accumulating sticky finger marks.
Otherwise a great executive toy.
Some additional stats from my own measurements: my globe levitates 10mm above the surface and the unloaded puck 17mm. Running the unit 24/7 will cost £2 per year with the lights on and £1.30 with the lights off (assuming £0.10 per KWh -' currency GBP).

Before ordering this toy, make sure that the seller is sending you the right plug for non-UK countries in Europe, or else you will wind up having to spend more money buying an adapter, like I did. Otherwise check out Youtube for some ideas on how to have fun with it.

This item is an absolute piece of junk.It has NEVER balanced since day one and is now back in its box in a cupboard.Be very wary of believing the video on youtube because it just doesn't happen how they would have you believe.It says in the literature that every one is checked and works before it is despatched - I DON'T THINK SO!! Buy this at your peril as it's the biggest waste of money EVER.
