This second edition brings together many interesting aspects which were not covered in the first edition. Keeping the mathematics to a minumum (which is one of the objectives of the authors), it covers all aspects of radiowave propagation with sufficient references for the interested reader, bringing new models for emerging technologies, which make it extremely useful for practical applications. Also, it devotes a great amount of pages to radio design and practical aspects from the vast experience of the authors in this field - something that is not often found in many text books of this type!
As far as antennas is concerned, it dedicates a whole new chapter on mobile antennas and discussed issues related to MIMO systems, a yet exciting technology which has reached its peak in the research world.
Finally, loads of solutions and worked problems are available for lecturers, which make it a definitely valuable source of information.
N.B. those seeking a more speficic book on antenna theory or radiowave propagation with a deeper mathematical background and emphasis should refer to other references.
