For gaming or home theater! 13 Oct 2011
By andrewbaggins - Published on Amazon.com
Bought two of these a few months ago when there was a special on the case plus an Antec Neo-Eco 520-watt power supply for basically the price of the case plus an extra $2.
Built a home theater PC using an Intel Core-i3 540 processor, 4GB of memory, a USB wireless-n adapter and a Blu-Ray drive. This thing runs so cool that I disconnected the big fan at the top of the case, making it nice & quiet. We play Blu-Ray and DVD movies, stream Netflix over the wireless connection (good strong signal from next room), and do a little light gaming as well as some photo and video editing. We also run our magicJack internet telephone device on this computer. The Core-i3 processor runs cool and doesn't use much power so the whole project is affordable to have running all day. Next project is to rip our CD collection to the hard drive so the computer can double as a music server/jukebox. Bear in mind that we would NOT be using it like this if the case and fan(s) were noisy or failed to provide good airflow. It's not silent but is quiet enough so that when we're sitting 10 feet away we don't notice it's on. If the tiny blue light at the front bothers you place a small piece of masking tape over it or disconnect it from the motherboard connector.
We also built a gaming PC using the second Antec Two Hundred case. This time we added some quiet-running extra fans: 2 at the front and 1 on the side panel for additional cooling. The processor here is a high-power, high-heat 130w Intel quad-core, plus a big honkin' power supply and a medium quality graphics card with a second graphics card to be added in the near future. Airflow through the case is excellent. At no time is there any undue heat buildup inside the case.
One other nice feature is that the case will accommodate 2 of the newer type SSD hard drives without needing any extra brackets, etc. Pliable grommets are provided for mounting one SSD in/on the bottom inside panel and a convenient slot on the front panel caters to a second SSD - just slot it in.
So, this is, all in all, a versatile case for general computing, for gaming, or even for home theater if you wish.

Good Budget Case 27 Feb 2012

Nothing fancy but does the trick for budget builders. Good cooling with large near silent fans and room for more should you use this case with an overclocked video card and or CPU. A nice large CPU cutout and cutouts for cable runs.

As others have said the power button leads are backwards from what the manual shows so if you try to turn on your newly built system and nothing happens or it turns on for a moment and goes off start your troubleshooting there.

Excellent! 3 Dec 2011

I'm writing this review on my new rig just built last night in one of these cases. I spent six weeks looking at parts and picking up deals here and there before I finally got all the pieces. I spent about as much time looking at cases as everything else put together. I was extremely leery of this case at first because I don't think Amazon's image is very flattering. But when they had it on sale for $40 and I watched the excellent video review on youtube by 3dgameman, I decided to pull the trigger. I'm very happy I did. It looks great- much darker than the image shows. The airflow is excellent and the buttons and USB ports on the front are very well placed. The removable, washable front grill is just icing on the cake, especially for a pet owner like me who has had dust issues in the past. I'm not using the hot swap bay yet but it is hooked up and ready to go in case I grab a steal on another SSD at some point. There's a lot to like about this case.
