5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice, 27 Jan 2007
I'm not one of the "oh my god, look at my case" brigade, but I did need something with plenty of fans (can't be bothered buying & fitting a load of them) and that wouldn't sound like an air tunnel; this case fitted the bill.

Positives:
-My old case had two 92mm fans and the CPU idled at 42C. This case has 3 120mm fans and one 200mm blower and my CPU is now sitting at 33C even though the fans are all on the lowest setting (each fan has a low/medium/high speed control).
-While it's not silent, it's not appreciably louder than my old case, if at all. Considering there's 4 fans, it's pretty quiet. Don't expect silence, though.
-Build quality is excellent. I nicked a finger on my old case taking the drives out. No danger of cutting myself with the new case :)
-Power buttons & front ports are well thought out and positioned.
-The HDD cages are rather good. You just haul the cage out, screw in the drives and then put the cage back into the case.
-Thumb screws for the bay cages & case doors; very convenient.

Negatives:
-No removable motherboard tray
-Some spare thumbscrews would've been nice. I've already lost one (grr) and you get a tonne of other screws, so I'd imagine slinging in a couple of extras wouldn't break the bank.
-The floppy drive bay converter isn't terribly intuitive. The instructions simply tell you to insert the drive, add on the faceplate and Bob's your uncle. Unfortunately it's a lot more fiddly than that. The converter is almost symmetrical, but only works one way, plus the faceplate doesn't fit too snugly. It'd be far better if the converter had one distinct end, the instructions were more verbose and the faceplate snapped on to indicate it was secure.
-Cable management could be better; a few bits are a little cramped, too.
-You can buy similarly priced Antec cases that come with several 120mm fans AND a pretty good quality 400-450W PSU.

So it looks nice, runs well and isn't too noisy. The only real downside is the last point; you may well find better value elsewhere from the same manufacturer, especially if you need a PSU with your case. If you want a nice looking case with oodles of fans, then you can't really go wrong with this, though.

Well done to Amazon for the swift and very cheap delivery! Delivery of this item cost me £2 and it arrived the next day (a Saturday, too). Good effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Case!, 14 Nov 2007
By M. Bell "Matt Bell" (Swindon, England) - See all my reviews

If you need a case that offers great air cooling them look no furhter. I've overclocked my Q6600 from 2.4GHz to 3.2Ghz and the temp runs at 29 degree's C.

There is plenty of space for all your drives and Large GPU cards.

One thing worth noting is the PSU is mounted at the very bottom at the back it can mean the the power cables to the motherboard and other devices might not reach. Check the length of your cables on your PSU, you many need to by a new one with longer cables.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good case but with a few niggles, 7 Dec 2007
I've used nothing but Antec for years and so when i wanted another case (i build a new PC every year) i got one of these.

It's got plenty of good points, the main being the air flow through the case is superb, i've yet to find a better case that's as good and as quiet.

I've fitted a Watercooling rig in one (look at the Antec LeetLounge website for more) and it had enough room to fit a double Thermochill rad with space for 2 raptors and a DVD drive (a tight squeeze)

The Case is well made, it's strong and has no sharp edges nor those annoying fiddly clips.

You can with a bit of effort tidy all the cables (helps if you're using SATA for everything) and you can run most under the mobo should you choose.

Now the few downsides.

This case should be renamed the 'Dust Monster 900' as i have to clean the fans and front grills every week.

I have replaced the Antec Fans with quieter fans that pull less air and still need to clean every week.

As others have stated no removable mobo plate, however this isn't so bad as there is plenty of space.

All in all if you want a cool running system, aren't concerned with using a paintbrush every now and then (depending on your fans) to clean the dust and want something that looks very nice indeed then at this price this is the case for you.

Cheers
