I bought these batteries thinking they were the best - what a disappointment !
Firstly, they self-discharge significantly within a week or so.
Secondly, they are way-below the capacity claimed - coming in at between 700 and 850mah according to my tests.
Sent them back to Ansmann, who claimed they were 'within specification', and who were either unable or unwilling to replace them with some which actually were 1100mah. Spoke to Ansmann's UK MD about it - he said they vary between batches, and the latest isn't a good one. He justified the apparent mislabelling on the basis that "all the manufacturers do it". Shocking!
Well not all the manufacturers do it. I've found uniross batteries have a capacity at or near what they claim, and hold their charge well (even the ones not labelled as low-self-discharge). And what is more, they seem very reliable and don't deteriorate noticeably as the years go by.
