I found this book in a local bookstore today and wondered whether my son might like it as a surprise birthday present. Before buying it, I thought it best to do some 'research': and what better place to start than Readers' Reviews on Amazon ? Within a couple of minutes I found that a) he had the book already, and b)he didn't like it ! So, the book gets 1 Star and Amazon gets 5 !
You see, smokeydan is my son and, imagine my surprise when I discover that, unbeknown to me, he had entered a Review here ! (an amazing coincidence, LOL )
On further inspection of this review, I realise that it is far from constructive. As mentioned by reviewers above, the reproductions are ill-planned both in their positioning on the page ( extending over two pages with no thought to the affect of the center-fold ) and the poor quality of reproduction. Had they mastered ( or perhaps heard of ) Adams' Zone System, they may have tried harder. ( a quick google will link you to an excellent article on the 'luminous-landscape' site )
The search for his present continues !
