Excellent 70s TV Drama 5 Jun 2010

Written by television stalwart Jack Rosenthal and directed by Michael Apted, Another Sunday And Sweet FA is a one-off seventies sitcom that centres on a Sunday league soccer referee eho believes strongly in justice and fair play. Originally transmitted in 1972, this TV film was part of Granada's celebrated Sunday Night Theatre anthology
Very enjoyable to watch and very amusing. The cast is brilliant with gritty performances from the likes of top Yorkshire character actors of the day such as Freddie Fletcher and Duggie Brown. Coronation Street stars Fred Feast and Anne Kirkbride also make notable appearances.
In all, it portrays real life brilliantly and is a very down to earth film with delightful Yorkshire humour.
