THe Best,
By Dino (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Another Monday (Audio CD)
For me this is where it all began...1966 I recall and John, here, took a major step forward in his fusion of folk, blues and classical guitar techniques.
This cd is an essential for all guitar players. As the other reviewer said Every House Must Have a Copy! Listening to this Gordon Giltrap, Martin Simpson et al fall into place behind the master. And I'm not taking anything away from G and M. Me I'm still practising and will forever....

Monday's triumph,

Fronted by one of Renbourn's most breathtaking blues tune, this record is a fantastic study in guitar playing. Renbourn's idiosyncratic sound and articulation shines all the way through. Every home should have one.

Like John the recording is very nice. I find some of his instrumental stuff quite dull at times as I much prefer it when Johns singing but you have to respect and admire him as being a folk legend.
