5.0 out of 5 stars Touching glimpse 23 Feb 2012
By Erik - Published on Amazon.com

This novel gives you an emotional charge beyond its shortness. Without going in specifics, or explaining the setting precisely, it gives you more of an impulse, and all the sadness and feeling of an orphaned creature, beyond redemption, beyond hope.
It's a glimpse of Sci-Fi noir with a hint of personal drama.
The only thing that I didn't like about it was its shortness, but as it's seemingly ment to be a loosely-fit, ongoing series, I'll just wait for the others, and maybe grab something other to read from the author.
Anyways, good job, and carry on!

4.0 out of 5 stars Anno Humanae Salutis by Estva'n Szabo' 11 Mar 2012
By Karen Doering - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a very short work consisting of about 50 pages and is part of a collection of short stories which are connected only by the time of day they occur. Because it is so short anything said about the story itself would be a spoiler so I will discuss only the writing.

I think the first words that come to mind while reading this were haunting, disturbing and sadly beautiful. While it only took me a few minutes to read I found myself reading it several times over. The prose has a poetic quality that evokes an unexpected emotional response. The eerie quality of the setting is slightly discomforting and the story strangely disconcerting and compelling.

I will be reading this again and following this writer. This story is what the experts, whoever they are, call literary. It is worth reading and spending some time contemplating.

1.0 out of 5 stars TREASURED SPOT BOOK REVIEWS 18 Mar 2012
By F.a.Ellis - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
The book was short, and this is what I got from it. A couple lost the only world they knew and found another place. There wasn't any main characters in the book, and there wasn't enough details about the story.
