Selected writings on design does not only focus on the physical aspect of design concepts that became a reality through fine craftmanship. It also focusses on Anni Albers's philosophy of selecting the right words to describe the proccess of design and the path every dedicated designer must follow in order to understand something of the impossible probable. The book makes the reader aware of the unique meeting between the material and the non-material. The reader realizes that no design can stand on its own without a real involvement with time and at the same time timelessness. This does not mean the book is contradicting itself, but that the reader takes part in a visual and textual journey.
