Annette Rubery is a journalist and author based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and her first published title, Lichfield Then & Now, focuses on the changing face of that city. She has a PhD from the University of Warwick in Comparative Literary Studies and works in Higher Education. In addition to the history of Lichfield, she is fascinated by 18th-century history, particularly figures associated with the Georgian stage. She also enjoys photography, blogging and taking the occasional trip to Iceland (the country, not the supermarket).
