Anne is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work in the School of Health and Social Care at Bournemouth University. She teaches on the undergraduate and master's social work programmes, and jointly leads an innovative school-wide blended learning unit on exploring evidence to guide practice. Anne also teaches a distance and blended-learning module on the European Masters in Social Work in Groningen, Netherlands. Her research interests include interprofessional education, blended learning, social media, humanising care, lifeworld-led education, researchmindedness, and arts in education and practice. Anne has written books on interprofessional practice and on supporting the development of academic and professional skills in addition to papers on technology enhanced learning and was commissioned by the Social Care Institute for Excellence to develop a suite of open access elearning materials. She has extensive experience as an Editor and Editorial Board member of the journals Social Work Education and Practice -social work in action; has been recently appointed to the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Social work, and has led workshops in writing for publication for academics and practitioners. Anne's national roles have included the Social Work Reform Board curriculum group member; deputy chair of the JUC SWEC Teaching and Learning committee; Teaching and Learning Advisor for the social work and social policy subject centre of the HEA; and conference planning group member for national and international conferences. She has been an invited speaker at conferences and events on elearning, creativity and social media for social work practice educators.
