The Anne of Green Gables Series and MUCH MORE in one Collection!

As the father of four daughters who LOVE the Anne books, I set out to create the ultimate Kindle edition of these timeless books. I wanted a perfectly-formatted, easy-to-use Kindle release that included these amazing books at a fantastic price. And here is the result!

This exciting collection has these great features:

  • The complete text of eight great books featuring Anne "with an e" Shirley
  • Three additional novels from Lucy Maud Montgomery
  • One complete book of poetry by Montgomery, "The Watchman and Other Poems"
  • 142 wonderful short stories written by Montgomery
  • Links to download the unabridged audiobooks of all 11 novels for FREE!
  • The ability to easily jump to any book using the Kindle "go to" feature
  • An individual, active table of contents for each book so you can go to any chapter
  • Clean formatting, giving you full control over fonts and font sizes
  • Did I mention an unbeatable price?

All titles in this Anne of Green Gables collection, along with their publication date, are listed below.

  • Anne of Green Gables (1908)
  • Anne of Avonlea (1909)
  • Anne of the Island (1915)
  • Anne's House of Dreams (1917)
  • Rainbow Valley (1919)
  • Rilla of Ingleside (1921)
  • Chronicles of Avonlea (1912)
  • Further Chronicles of Avonlea (1920)
  • The Story Girl (1911)
  • The Golden Road (Sequel to The Story Girl, 1913)
  • Kilmeny of the Orchard (1910)
  • The Watchman and Other Poems (1916)
  • The Short Story Collection (1896-1922)

Unfortunately, there are two books in the Anne of Green Gables series which were published later and can't yet be included in this Kindle collection because of copyright restrictions. These are "Anne of Windy Poplars" (1936) and "Anne of Ingleside" (1939).

Thanks for checking out my Anne Stories collection. I hope you and your family enjoy these books as much as we have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous read and value for money 29 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Not having read these books as a child I wasn't familiar with the stories. What a joy to read evocative of a bygone age of childhood innocence where faith and hard work was the order of the day. The writing is superb with a lot of old english expressions I hadn't read before. I discovered I could press on a word I was not familiar with and learn it's meaning so the book is an education as well as a brilliant read. True value for money and expect to be transported to another more gentle era a complete delight!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic girl hero Canadian stories 12 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Anne of Green Gables is one of the Classic , girl as hero stories. Like Jo March , she is has a temper, is not pretty and like the heroine of " The Secret Garden" she is an orphan. Up there with other " girlhood classics, " What Katy Did", " Pollyanna ", " The little House on The Prairie",and " Little Women" , these books have an interesting heroine growing up at the end of the 19th, beginning of the 20th Century in this case in Canada. The country and the century might be different, but the cares and concerns of the young Anne, friendships, dating, worries about her hair and looks still ring true today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful! 10 May 2013
By Hugh
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I can vaguely remember Anne of Green Gables from a TV show when I was a young child. The books are great, beautifully written in evocative language, with a sense of humour. In the first book, Anne arrives as a young, unwanted child at Green Gables; her exploits and friendships are described in language so flowery (in a good way) that I laughed out loud. The countryside is depicted expressively and the way of life at the time is described delightfully ( there is little gritty realism; although poverty and hardship are hinted at- it is more about blossoming flowers, babbling brooks, good morals and kindness, but that's what is so charming about it).
I am reading the second book, which I look forward to opening each evening; Anne is now a school teacher (although only 17) and has further adventures and relationships with Avonlea characters.
Highly recommended!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely books 26 Mar 2013

It was lovely to re read these stories in particular the first two books. Anne of Green Gables is such a lovely book and has brought back happy memories of reading it as a child. The later books are not any where near as good as the first two, but they are still enjoyable to read.

2.0 out of 5 stars One Book Missing 14 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This series is good, but does not include Anne of Ingleside, so one book is missing in the middle. Whist it was published last, it is still very much one of the stories and should have been included in this package of books.
