This book took the worry out of weaning. It's simple and easy to follow, enabling you to give your child not only well balanced, nutritional meals but great variety too.
Following Annabels advice and freezing into ice cube trays saved so much time - one days cooking could produce several different meals for a month.
Essential book.

Having bought 4 weaning/recipe books for my twins I found this one to be by far the best. The recipes are really healthy and the instrucitons are very easy to follow. Most are freezable - so great to prepare big batches to make your life easier.
The pictures make it a bright and interesting book.

Like many first time mums I am the sort of person who likes precise guidance to do things correctly when starting anything new to give me the confidence to experiment and develop things myself. This book has done just that.
Containing sensible balanced information and easy to follow meal planners and recipes it has made feeding my son a joy and he hasn't refused anything yet. I have only used the book for 2 months as my son is now 6 months and I have already had my moneys worth 10 times over.
If you only buy one book when starting to wean your child this has to be it.

Annabel has done it again! The Delia Smith of kids' cookery has produced a thoroughly useful book full of surprisingly do-able recipes (even for this kitchen klutz) that will not only keep your kids happy, but healthy. Excellent photography and a useful bit at the beginning putting our various food fears into perspective. Recommended for all parents of fussy kids.

I find that you never really know what to cook for your children. There are things that they like and things you feel you should give them and it's difficult to get the balance right. In this book there are loads of simple recipes that inspire you to cook different things and at the same time reassure you that you are giving your children the best possible start by making them healthy.

I was given my copy from a friend, and have tried many recipes on my now 11 month old son. They are very easy to prepare, and take very little time (essential don't you think!). This would be pointless if your baby didn't think the food tasted good, and mine thinks they are yummy! He particularly likes the Cherub's Chowder , which is great because he is eating fish! Great book, the only baby food book you'll need.
