I have to say that my expectations of this book weren't particularly high. However, it proved me wrong, and I have found lots of inspiration for cooking meals that the whole family can enjoy together, which was one of the main things I wanted from it. The majority of the recipes are made with storecupboard ingredients, so no need to go out and buy lots of stuff, which is always a plus. It would have had the extra star to make five if it had more illustrations - I always think it's helpful to have a picture of what the finished product should look like. Overall, though, thumbs up!

I love this book. It is packed full of ideas for the whole family to enjoy. I spent the whole day cooking on Saturday. It was pouring with rain outside and my kids were going up the walls.I took out the book and told them that they could cook whatever they wanted out of the book.
We had so much fun and we all had a fantastic day.
Annabel Karmel's recipe's are so easy to follow. The photography is beautiful and the food delicious.
Another great book.

I bought this book as needed some inspiration as to what to cook for my 4 year old. He recently has started refusing breakfast, and with him about to start school, this wasn't such a good idea. Plus i have a fussy 2 year old. I also work part-time, so needed practical, quick and nutritious recipes (plus some ideas for the school lunchbox) - this book has delivered all of the above ...we all made the 'best ever banana bread'. What can i say except gorgeous - dads favourite, it disappeared within hours! The 'Apple and carrot breakfast muffins' are beautiful. I'd forgotten how good french toast is. My first ever attempt at risotto ('summer risotto' p136) was perfect. The boys want to make savoury breakfast muffins and 'cucumber crocodile' next, but i have my eye on the 'Ratatouille Omelette' and 'courgette fritters' as have a surplus from the veg patch. A great present, and good value book

some more pictures would be welcome
I've used one or two recipes at this stage and found that steps are missing from them i.e. cottage pie
nice recipes though, quick meals very handy

Had the Baby and Toddler book which was fab and we've done nearly all the recipes, but was bit disappointed in this book as haven't really found anything different to do.

I bought this because I had used the complete baby and toddler meal planner a lot when weaning my baby and thought it would have the same weekly meal planner chart inside which was very useful - but there isn't one, it is just a recipe book. Bit misleading title of the book really.

This book was just what I needed when it was time to introduce solids to my son. She writes recipes that introduce your child to a range of foods. For instance, mixing banana with avocado. Yum!

Got this book to follow the complete meal planner. Seems like a good book from flicking through it but I suppose nothing can beat the original book. Some good ideas and wide range. Particularly like the party food ideas.
