This is a wonderful movie. The spoofs are amazing. Barbara Warblers=Barbara Walters. Keen Hacksaw=Brent Musberger. Mark Spritz=Mark Spitz. The music is also amazing. My favorite songs are "Water Goin' Down" and "Go For It". Some beautiful ones are "We Made It To the Top" and "Alone Again, But Where are You?". My favorite character is Dean Wilson. I have it taped and I have watched it many times. I once read that it was advertising for the 1980 Olympics. If so, they failed. Some one said the music is easy to forget. I totally disagree. The music is cool.

This film is amazing! I first saw it as a young child, and loved it. I'm now 22 years old and I still love it! Just watch them trot it out of the archives every Olympic season. Seriously, the animation is a little shaky, but the stories and songs are so good, you don't even notice. My favourite? Keen Hacksaw! (Nine point five. Is that her score or the reading on the richter scale? ) Classic all round!

I first watched this film when I was a small child. My parents videoed it from the TV and they also loved the film as it kept me and my sister entranced for the entire duration. I watched it again the other day (aged 22) and still found it hysterically funny, yet surprisingly touching in places. The comic facial expressions and one liners make this a classic cartoon with staying power. I hope one day to show this film to my children to give myself a well earned bit of peace and quiet. I'll probably even watch it with them!
