Part One explains the basics of Reiki, (for more details I would recommend The Reiki Sourcebook by Frans and Bronwen Stiene), Part Two is the actual getting ready and giving a treatment, and Part Three explains Reiki for specific animals, with sections for dogs, cats, horses, small animals etc. Part Four is for going on to Level 2 Reiki. The whole book is interspersed with stories of animals which have been treated, and the results obtained. The book is aimed at people who have taken Reiki Level 1. However it can be enjoyed by all levels, I myself am a Reiki 2. The stories of the animals are lovely and encourage you to go out and do your thing! The writing is simple and easy to read and there are also pictures for hand positions when giving treatments to specific animals. I have been reading this book ever since I got it and find it useful as I am a Reiki I&II healer and a spiritual healer and I have a certificate in animal communication. I bought this book as I am currently giving healing to 25 cats in a cat rescue charity So I wanted to refresh my memory on Reiki with animals.I bought 3 other books at the same time 1 of which was bought in error as although the book had a slight difference in the title and the cover was totally different, it was in fact the same book as this one.

This is a beautiful book, so interesting and really lovely. I have just been initiated into Reiki level 1 and I can't wait to try reiki on my pets and other family pets.
