5.0 out of 5 stars A new genre for GS - and she does a great job! 13 May 2006
By Book Addict TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Naomi Delacroix once believed in true love and a wonderful white wedding, but after witnessing he mother's abusive first marriage and only 6 months after her own divorce from her cheating ex-husband Richard, the very thought of any commitment now causes nausea and cold sweats. Having given up her job as a party planner to look after Richard, Naomi found herself a party planner pariah after her divorce. With no one willing to hire her and no other career option, she set up her own party planning business, and after a lot of hard work, she finds her business flourishing.

No longer prepared to meekly accept the wrongs in her life, Naomi strives to unleash her "inner tigress"; however she struggles to unleash much more than a squeaky "meow" at times. Don't get me wrong, Naomi is no spineless walkover; in fact so warped by her cheating ex, she refuses to date and vows to never again fall in love. Yet when she's hired by multi-millionaire Royce Powell to organise a surprise party for his mother, Naomi at last finds herself interested in a man; but following bitter experience (she fell for Richard whilst working for him) she firmly refuses to date a client. What she doesn't know is that Royce actually fell in love with her 6 months ago after seeing her at a wedding she organised. Wearing a green dress, she left a huge impact on him; to such an extent his favourite colour became green. Naomi of course has no idea that this wealthy, devastatingly attractive man could possibly want her; yet when he begins to woo her with small gestures, she can almost believe she's found a man who won't eventually cheat. Naomi may feel somewhat disappointed with her "inner tigress" at times, yet all Royce sees is a beautiful, independent woman he desperately wants to marry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious Light Hearted Read 19 Jun 2011
By Smiffy
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book is a typical Gena Showalter story. It is really easy and fun to read with great humour throughout. Simple 'chick flick' type love story plot with plenty of laughter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable 25 May 2010
By Kash VINE VOICE
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this book. I understand that it is quite a different genre to what Gena Showalter usually writes but it is really good. Very light-hearted; just pick it up and away you go. If you like this type of book - rom-com then I thoroughly recommend buying it
