Seriously do not buy this product!
My daughter took this toy out of it's box and after two mins it did not work. I took out the batteries and replaced with brand new ones. Straight away this toy started to make to make funny noises but I thought that perhaps it maybe part of it??? however it started to smell of burning and I went to take the batteries out and the batteries were so hot I threw them across our kitchen. My daughter is four this should never, never happen.
I think shortly this product will be on watch dog!

This is a great toy for children who are animal lovers - my daughter wanted a real guinea-pig, but decided that 8 was a bit young and this was a great alternative. The squeaking sound is very authentic, as though it has been recorded from a real one! It also hops across the floor a bit and can be fed with its bottle and lettuce leaf.
The only thing with buying it on-line, was that I received the French version (which was called Patsy) and there were absolutely no English instructions on it at all! Otherwise a great toy.

We purchased an Animagic 'Patch - my Guinea Pig'from Amazon for my daughters birthday. It didn't appear to be working properly on the manufacturers batteries, I changed the batteries. It then made a little wiggle and a small sqeauk, but nothing like what I would have expected for nearly £20. On double checking the batteries were inserted correctly I noticed that the batteries were incredibly hot, and there was a very strong smell of burning coming from the toy. I immediately removed the batteries, which were almost too hot to touch. The toy itself smells very strongly of burning. This is very worrying especially after reading other peoples reviews with exactly the same problem. Please do not buy this product as I feel that one day soon it will cause real damage.
