4.0 out of 5 stars Angry rockin' 28 July 2005
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I bought this album some years ago, and have just listened to it all over again for the first time in a while. I had the first 3 RT albums, but wanted a good overall introduction. Which this certainly is. Practically every track is proof positive of the power that RT could muster in the early days. There are one or two slightly weaker tracks (Sidewalk Sally, Magnum Maid, Saturday's Rage and The Radio Said...) but others (Rock 'n; Roll Outlaw, One Of The Boys, and the blistering All The Lessons) more than make up for it. It's probably been overtaken now by the later 2-CD compilation, but anyone looking for a slightly cheaper introduction could do a lot worse than this! My only personal gripe is they didn't include Astra Wally from the first album.

5.0 out of 5 stars rock 11 April 2012

This group is a hard find in the USA. This is the most best collection of there's put together on one disc. The Australian band is bad. It's a must have for rock heads.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Filth and the Fury! 9 July 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

A best of package from a band that lays most rock and roll bands to waste, but was criminally overlooked. Guns-n-Roses wish they were as clued in as Rose Tattoo, and their coner of "Nice Boys" comes across as rather limp when compared to the all out blitzkrieg of the Australian original. Rose Tattoo are often imitated, but never equalled. They don't make 'em like this anymore........

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice boys don't play rock 'n' roll 4 Mar 2002

This offering from the Tatts covers the entire career of the band which means that you end up with a bit of the pap that Angry released post Pete Wells and Digger Royal.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great introduction to the Tatts but if you want the genuine article start at the beginning with "Rose Tattoo" and work forward through "Assault & Battery" before stopping at "Scarred for Life."

As for Guns & Roses, well they didn't like Australians telling them they'd always be just imitators... But they would say that, wouldn't they! Rock and Roll is King!
