Product Description

Product Description

The Lambeth Conference in 2008 has included a 'listening process' where people hear the views of others and listen to the experience of homosexual people. This book includes items from all parts of the world, from individuals and groups, to give a spectrum of views under 8 different chapter headings. Background information on homosexuality, advice on the process of dialogue and case studies are included.

About the Author

The Revd Canon Phil Groves is the Facilitator of the whole process. He has worked for the Church Missionary Society in Africa, especially Tanzania. He will be assisted by Adrian Chatfield, who has been responsible for the creation of the distance learning materials at St John's Nottingham.

4.0 out of 5 stars A balanced view - at last., 1 Jul 2008
Too often the arguements on both sides of the homosexuality debate present theory and research as proof, often misquoting the facts and findings. "The Anglican Communion and Homosexuality", while not perfect (I can think of one piece of twin research which is not quoted) gives both the strengths and weaknesses of the theology and science from both sides without pushing a point. Even if you are not part of the Anglican Communion and wish to know the facts from the rhetoric this book is a very good starting point.
