After 20 years as a Psychology Lecturer, this is perhaps the best written introductory Psychology text I have ever seen. I have never seen subjects like Discursive Psychology and Object Relations Theory effectively presented at this level until now! Every student should own a copy.

Logically organised, lively style, consise and extremely enjoyable to read for a beginner to the subject. I study the AS level and have found it more than invaluable. A must buy if you are doing the Edexcel AS and a good read if you are not. Excellent

The reviews for this book (5 stars) are not in the least exaggerated, while the A2 version of this book does not live up to this one; this is fantastic and I used it in addition to the set textbook, but I can honestly say that by using this alone I still would have gotten 90s and 100s in my units, it is just so rich in its content, streamlines and focuses the syllabus to a needle and is written and structured in a refreshing, straightforward style. I know a nearby college that actually used only this book - so I introduced it to my teacher and they've never looked back.
