I am using this lens with my Canon T2i and the kit lens (18-55mm). My main reason for purchasing, was to use it for shooting real estate photos and get a wider shot of inside rooms. If you look in the photo gallery above for the lens, you'll see some sample photos I took in my home. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, it does the job satisfactorily for my purposes, especially on the cheap. Here is a quick breakdown of some observations, hope it's helpful.
- There is a vignette effect if you are zoomed all the way out (at least with the 18-55mm lens), so it's necessary to slightly adjust your lens until it disappears. This limits the wide range, but only slightly.
- You'll notice blurring at the outer edges of your photos. Not sure if this can be minimized by adjusting the aperture settings, haven't tried the lens outside yet.
- The macro lens was pretty impressive for the cost, in my humble opinion.
- My 5 star rating is based upon the performance to value delivered. Don't expect top quality optics for under $10!
- For having fun, experimenting and projects not requiring professional quality, this is a great bargain.
