This book puts stars like Marc Almond, Scott Walker and Leonard Cohen into their rightful context as fin-de-siecle visionaries, part of a continuing tradition stretching from Oscar Wilde to Jean Genet.

This is a great mixture of popular culture and erudition and Jeremy Reed's unique style. If you like this, read any of his other books, like Dorian or Red Hot Lipstick.
